What a long strange trip it’s been…

This year has been one of the best and also one of the most exciting years of my life. So much has changed over the last year and its crazy when I think about what my life was like this time last year and all the things that have changed since then. For those of you that don’t know me that well, let me take you through a small time line of my life this past year.

May-July 2008: After working at Astonish Records (an independent record label) for over a year and a half (doing online marketing and Social Media for our artists) I was given the opportunity to go on the road as a tour manager for one of the biggest up and coming bands in the music industry, No More Kings. Touring was something I always dreamed about doing, so when I got the opportunity, I took it right away; and all I can say is that it changed my life. Not only did I get to travel through the entire United States (and stay in some beautiful places like Teton Village, WY and in some other cities I never even knew existed ) it also helped refine my time management skills, my organization skills, and gave me an even stronger work ethic. To make a long story short, it was definitely an experience that impacted my life greatly and one that I will never forget.

August 2008: Due to the state of the music industry and the economy, the record label was forced to close down and I was left without a job. However, I constantly stayed positive, kept hustling and it wasn’t long before I was presented with another great opportunity.

September 2008: I started working for a new startup Social Media Marketing agency in Orlando, Fl called Endagon Innovations. Working with the founders Logan Lenz and Greg Rollet honestly changed my life forever. Those guys are truly inspiring and being able to learn from them on a daily basis is one of the main reasons I am where I am today. Unfortunately, money is very tight when you work for a startup and it wasn’t long before bills were piling up, student loans were due, and I was forced to start looking for another job. That’s when Clickbooth called.

March 2009: After getting an initial call from the HR Director at Clickbooth, I decided to head down to Sarasota to see what the company was all about. All I can say is that from the moment I walked in the front door, I immediately felt at home. The office was beautiful, the staff was so friendly, and from what I saw, the company was growing very quickly. After a few interviews, they offered me the Social Media Manager position, and of course I accepted.

July 2009: 4 months later and I couldn’t be any happier. It’s really been a dream come true working at Clickbooth. I get to do what I love and what I’m good at 24/7 (Social Media, Online Marketing etc…) and I also get to work with great people that I continue to learn and grow from every day. Not only that, the opportunities CB has given me in the space is something I am truly grateful for. (One of the most recent opportunities was being interviewed by the Wall Street Journal about a Twitter contest we are currently running.) There are so many new and exciting things happening at Clickbooth over the next few months, and I feel extremely lucky to be a part of it. :-)

So as you can see, it’s been one crazy year and to be honest, I wouldn’t change any of it. I’m just grateful to have a wonderful and supportive family, an amazing girlfriend, great friends, and a job I love. Life couldn’t get any better right now. :-)
